Show Your Betta Fish You Care With A Big Tank

According to the sales girl, this betta fish tank is the best seller at a huge retailer. I took this photo on my cellphone to show you what not to buy! Can the betta survive in this tank, yes....will the betta fish be happy and healthy, no. If you care about your betta fish a one gallon tank should be the minimum.

I have to agree. I cringe when I hear that those types of tiny bowls are 'big sellers' at big-box stores :( Bettas need lots of horizontal room to swim. Otherwise they can be stressed out. They need 5 gallons or so when trying to breed them. For more breeding tips, why not stop by http://www.squidoo.com/BettaBreedersCanada

The biggest mistake people make when buying and taking care of betta fish is that they don't buy big enough bowls or tanks, as betta fish need BIG ones to provide adequate betta fish care.
